Every-day-AWESOME Moments...
Dear Friends!
I recently received a GREAT book as a holiday gift (Thanks, Holly!). It's called The Book of Awesome by Neil Pasricha. He writes about every-day-AWESOME small moments that make us smile and are definitely worth recognizing.
I decided to create a space where we can all share and read about each other's AWESOME small moments. I hope this blog will encourage us to look for those little things that happen each day, the small moments that make us smile quietly to ourselves, or even laugh out loud!
So, start looking! Start sharing! And we will all smile a little more, laugh a little more, and appreciate the every-day-AWESOME in each day.
Hugs,
Liz

Google.com Main Page - Made My Day!
When I got my first cup of coffee this morning, I sat down with the laptop to check my email. I first went to the google page, and they had the best Christmas scheme - it made my day! Everyone should check it out, it is so cute and just a perfect example of the little things that bring you joy. Hope it is still there tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone!
Surprise! We're upgrading you to a nonstop flight AND first class!!!!!-AWESOME!
Yesterday I arrived at the airport to begin my day-long journey home for the holidays. I couldn't afford the outrageous cost of the nonstop flight, so I purchased a circuitous route home via Charlotte, NC. When I went up to the gate to check my bag (b/c I can NEVER pack light), the lady said "Would you like a nonstop flight? We need your seat to Charlotte." REALLY? Of course I want a nonstop flight! That was followed up with, "And there aren't any coach seats left, so you'll have to fly first class." WHAT???? AWESOME! That was my first experience flying first class...and I thoroughly enjoyed those extra large seats, pillow/blanket, and FREE beverages! Merry Christmas from the airline! AWESOME.

A Raccoon Visitor
When you're woken up at 4:30 am by a loud visitor traipsin' around your attic...and then later in the day after much worry and with the help of a WONDERFUL pest control company, you peek up into the attic and see the furry critter's fuzzy face and beady yellow eyes sittin' all cute in the corner near the air vent (point of entry)...and you realize...it's not that bad, he's actually quite cute! Though you won't stay for long (thanks to the pest control company), Merry Christmas to you too little Raccoon!

When an 8-year-old gives you that guilty-as-charged smile
When asked (after a phone conversation with mom) if he wasn't doing his homework...that guilty grin crept over his face...gave it all away!

Little old men
This weekend Lizzy and I were attempting to navigate our way through a ridiculously crowded parking lot full of holiday shoppers when a little old man flanked by his son and grandson appeared at the crosswalk in front of us. Lizzy stopped the car to let the trio pass but when they realized how long it would take them to get across the street they waved us on to keep driving. We smiled and waved and, in return, the little old man blew us kisses! Cutest thing ever.
When a Busy Friend Does Something Special
When one of your very busy, dedicated friends takes time out of her weekend to fix a technical problem for you (yes, I'm talkin' about you Liz!), that is awesome!!
